Can this be right? Can it possibly be June 1st already? The season is flying by. Above average precipitation in May and a wet early June forecast will hopfully mean good things for the summer water. Chance of showers and thunderstorms all week with temps in the high 60’s and low 70’s. Sunny skies and 80’s for the weekend and into next week. Summertime fishing on the MO.
The baetis are all but gone…PMD’s are on the way. Could be any day now.

Things have been a little slow out there for the past couple of days by most reports with frequent bug changes being the key. Lots of things working – not much working consistently. Weight flies, magic flies, sows, rainbow czechs, LGM’s, S & M’s, Two Bit Hookers, WD-40’s, Firebeads, Payczechs, Black PT’s, worms…you name it…it’s all working but none of it is really working consistently.

There are fish being caught in the fast shallow water and on the drop-offs. There are fish being caught on deep rigs and shallow rigs. Just keep switching it up until you find what works for you. Maybe that’s a big dry with a dropper…whose to say?

Lots of rain in the forecast, a few thunderstorms here and there. It’s weird weather but we’re loving it.
