No shortage of solitude on the MO these days

Like solitude?

There’s plenty of it around here these days. A few folks filling the rooms, about a 50/50 split between hunters and anglers and still a semblance of a daily morning rush but there has definitely been a noticeable downturn in activity over the past week which will continue through the holidays. That being said, we’ve got a full house for Thanksgiving and if the weather continues to be mild we will likely see a fair amount of anglers right through the end of the year.

If you’re considering making the trip it’s a great time to do it. We’ve got off-season lodging rates starting at $69/night + tax and speaking of tax – the resort tax has gone away until Spring so come stay and fish and shop and save yourself 3% on all of it.

$400 winter guide trips available NOW. Not sure about the weather? Neither are we. Book your trip and see what happens. If you don’t like what you see in the forecast or even on the morning of your scheduled trip you are free to bail with no cancellation fees. It can be a great time of year to fish the Missouri but you never know what you’re going to get weather-wise. We get that. $400 gets you a full day (by winter standards), a hot lunch and refreshments and transportation to and from the river.

Wolf Creek is THE place to be this time of year when fishing the Missouri. Cozy, affordable lodging and a first rate Montana Fly Shop and Guide Service at WCA, dining at The Frenchman, the only gas and groceries (including an awesome Montana Microbrew selection) between Helena and Cascade at The Canyon Store, cocktails and night life at The Oasis and all closer to Holter Dam and Wolf Creek Bridge than anyone.

Book your lodging and guide trips for next season now and lock in 2015 rates. June and July lodging is already getting hard to come by and prime season guide dates are filling quickly so book now to guarantee a spot and save yourself some $$$ as well.

The shop is open daily at 7:30 AM, earlier than all the rest so start your day with a visit to WCA. Enjoy complimentary coffee, a warm shop and everything you need for your day on the water. Shuttles, bugs, tools and accessories, leaders, lines and tippet, HellRazor jackets and Steelhead Gloves from Kast Extreme Fishing Gear and much more. Lots of end-of-season deals including 20% off all Echo  and St Croix rods and select Nautilus, Ross and Echo reels.

High wind watch in effect for tomorrow and Wednesday and some colder temps and snow showers predicted for the end of the week but nothing that should prevent you from fishing the Missouri!
